Paying my respects to Adam Yauch:
Organ, New Mexico
Organ is a a semi-ghost town, with most of the original buildings, from a mining boom, being abandoned. A second boom, this time motels and service stations, of buildings being abandoned as well. Its an interesting combo of late 1800s and 1940-50s structures sitting next to occupied houses and businesses.

Boredom Sets In
I have been ill for the better part of two weeks, not fun, so I was not able to shoot anything big. Being spring, and at the suggestion of a friend, I decided to shoot some roses:
First time really shooting flowers. I can see where a macro would be invaluable for this. Something bugs me about the crop. Tell me what you think.

So I was looking at a newer issue of Popular Photography, and they were showing how to get a bit of flare in to your shots. I used Scrapper as a model and hand held my 430EX, to add a bit of light:

William Shatner
In honor of William Shatner’s 81st birthday, I wanted to post up of the shot I got of him last year. I was using my sister’s Rebel XT as a back up, my 20D had the 100-400l on it. I was lucky enough to be by him while he was filming a documentary.
